Elifoot's Sustainability Policy
Introduction
Elifoot, an electronic football game with millions of players in Portugal, Brazil and many other countries since 1987, therefore recognizes the importance of operating sustainably and minimizing environmental impact. This policy sets out our actions to achieve that goal.
Specific Actions
Reducing Carbon Footprint:
- Being one of the first to do so, since 2002, we have eliminated paper correspondence and migrated to electronic format. This simple but significant change has drastically reduced the paper, ink, and energy consumption associated with internal and external communication.
- We improve energy efficiency: We have adopted measures such as replacing light bulbs with LEDs, using low-consumption equipment, and optimizing the ambient temperature, resulting in an estimated 50% reduction in annual lighting energy consumption. The new headquarters, inaugurated in 2022, has water heating panels, reducing annual heating gas consumption by more than 50%.
Promoting environmental sustainability:
- We implemented recycling and composting: We established separate collection points for paper, plastic, metal, and glass in our office, and started an organic waste composting program to reduce waste sent to landfills.
- We use eco-friendly products: We prioritize the purchase of cleaning products, office supplies, and other items that are environmentally certified, minimizing the use of harmful chemicals.
Compromise
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our internal operations. We are committed to collaborating with our employees, players, and the community at large to promote sustainable practices.
We believe that these actions will help us achieve the following goals:
- Significantly reduce our carbon footprint and environmental impact.
- Create a more sustainable and inspiring work environment.
- Educate our players and employees on the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
- Supporting sustainability initiatives in our community and the world at large.
We're excited to work towards a greener, more sustainable future for Elifoot and the planet.
